Converting Celsius to Fahrenheit

For converting a temperature between Celsius and Fahrenheit, you have to proceed as follow:

1. multiply by 9 the temperature in Celsius

2. divide by 5 the result obtained

3. add 32
   

Formula

F = (9/5) * C + 32

C: Celsius degrees
F: Fahrenheit degrees

Example
Question: how many Fahrenheit degrees are equivalent to 20 Celsius degrees?
Answer

20 * 9 = 180
180 / 5 = 36
36 + 32 = 68°F

Converting between Fahrenheit and Celsius

For converting a temperature between Fahrenheit and Celsius, you have to proceed as follow:

1. subtract 32 from temperatures in Fahrenheit

2. divide by 9 the result obtained

3. multiply by 5

Formula

C = (5/9) * (F - 32)

C: Celsius degrees
F: Fahrenheit degrees

Answer

77 - 32 = 45
45 / 9 = 5
5 * 5 = 25°C
