Rock in Sondrio: the O'cean!

Are you tired of hearing the same songs over and over on the radio? Do you love rock music? Maybe here you can find some interesting news!

Rock in Sondrio: the O'cean!

Among a piece of php code and an Italian-English translation, while the radio was playing the same songs over and over and over, something took my attention. A new melody, something of different, which immediately made me think of an emerging group of Italian music.

A few moments later, the speaker announced title, author and origin of the song performance: Ho bisogno di te of the O'cean, group that was born in Valtellina, a land of mountains and traditions, in the North of Italy!

With this valuable information, I went to the faithful friend Google, in search of the site of the good rock band. After having some slight difficulties, I arrived on the goal, the blog of the band of Sondrio. From it you can also reach the official site at http://www.oceanband.it, which would certainly need more popularity on Google, although now we know what Flash sites are hated by the search engines.

For all that pertain to the group, we can certainly say that it isn't formed by beginners. From what it says on their website, they have participated in several Italian and European contests, including the Levi's Staytrue where they got the victory, which brought them to record a single song in the prestigious Abbey Road Studios in London. I carry over some of their thoughts (in Italian), taken directly from their blog:

Gli O'cean devono le proprie influenze musicali soprattutto al R'n'R anni 50/60 e alle maggiori band internazionali: Beatles, Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin e Jimi Hendrix.

It would be a shame not going to give us a look, perhaps to listen to some of their compositions.
I couldn't miss a personal recommendation: If the rock is not your passion, if you are a profane of rock, perhaps this is the good time to listen to anything of different. Support rock in Sondrio!
